Bath Bombs
In a bowl mix:
- 1 cup baking soda
- ¾ cup corn flour
- ½ cup citric acid
- ½ cup Epsom salts (optional)
In a spray bottle mix:
- water
- essential oil
- food colouring (optional)
Gently spray the dry ingredients a little at a time. This is a tricky and time consuming process as you want to wet the ingredients enough to compact them into shape but not so much as to set the baking soda off.
Press into moulds, silicon moulds or cupcake pans work well (or simply mould into balls in your hands).
Allow to dry 24 hours.
Bath Salts
Exact ratios of ingredients are a matter of personal choice.
In a jar mix:
- Rock salt or Himalayan Pink Salt
- Epsom salts (Magnesium Sulphate)
- Baking soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
- Scented essential oil
- Dried Herbs (optional)
- Colouring (optional)
Shake well.
I say optional on the herbs because not everyone likes having to clean all the Rosemary out of the bath after!
